For those like myself that were RIF’d make sure to seek counsel before signing any severance packages. The tripped the WARN ACT, and fight for your family and your time. Many will recall the RIF in 2015 when they violated the act and had to pay out big time, even in emergency situations the ACT does protect. No different this time around. Most were just given 24 hrs notice.

Just and idea, since there's a lot of union talk, maybe the union can provide legal for all who were laid off. That would prove that they are of value to us. They have the means... Sort of like try it before you buy it.
Nevada doesn’t have any WARN act and we are an at will state. So the Las Vegas facility is SOL. This s—s.
Unless you can prove some type of bias against you don’t waste your money. A former coworker was part of the purge last year and he told me he spent $250 just to be told that we are “at will” employed which means that they can lay you off when they no longer need you.
They have their own attorneys that I believe you are required to use per the arbitration agreement you signed when becoming an employee. I have been gone for several years now so things could have changed. Also - if you are offered a severance package you waive all rights to sue if you accept it. Unfortunately, they have you over a barrel.
Use an Atlanta lawyer. Savannah lawyers are afraid of GAC. Record all conversations with GAC. Save all documents and emails.
When you fight, you hold them accountable and also help out your brothers and sisters. The higher caseload will twist their arm in our favor. You’ll probably have to go through arbitration with them so you might want to consider an attorney who is familiar with the process.
