We need to do it. Way less overhead is really needed with only a few HDD products going. Are 100's of head and media engineers and managers really still needed? Mechanical? How about 100's high grade engineers working on stuff Seagate will never sell? IMO, there's an awful lot of underworked and under challenged people inventing and doing make work projects or just not doing much.
