Anyone else having to go through this? They cut off my devices as "stolen" so I'm pretty sure I'll be laid off on the 15th. That's their way to buy themselves time to get severance packages together while I get unemployment.

Is everyone who's waiting for the 15th with a last name that starts with a letter deeper in the alphabet? The person I know who was officially laid off starts with "E". My last name starts with "R," so I'm wondering if they simply needed more time to put my severance packet together.
19 years. Got told over the phone.
17 years with Gulfstream. AOG tech. Staying positive and yes we are gone they won’t call us back. We can come back as a contractor or re apply in one year. Lining up new work right now! Let’s go!!!!!!!!
22 yr GAC Vet who bleeds Gulfstream blue. Govt Programs hit hard. Hearing we had about a dozen losses. Computer access lost about noon, with cell phone service soon thereafter. Told I will receive severance info soon on my home email, but nothing yet. First time unemployed since 16 (40 years), kinda hard for this disabled vet to accept.
Same story. Never had this kind of limbo before. I got the call today. Id like to know the total number, i suspect > 500 were let go.

So they’ve essentially furloughed you until they 15th, at which point it may be permanent. You can apply for unemployment now as a furlough until it’s official. If they’re not paying you for now, you qualify for unemployment. Once they provide severance, you’ll need to stop unemployment for the period it covers.
If the total layoff was over 500 employees, you would get paid out for an extra 60 days because they didn’t provide notice under the WARN Act.
They are f ing with about the May 15th we are gone. They just need time to process stuff. Warn act doesn't apply. They are saving for GAC.
Be aware that the severance package will mean you are not eligible for unemployment until the end of the severance package. For example, if you were paid out the equivalent of eight weeks salary, you cannot receive unemployment until after that time.
Same here - was told to expect it to be permanent. 14 years here. Sad. Not sure about devices, will check now.
I received the same spiel: laid off, expect it to be permanent, still monitoring "the situation", will know for sure by the 15th. Also, mention of a severance package. I haven't checked my devices though.
