Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

Have things improved any?

I retired three years ago and not a day too soon because I'm not sure I could've lasted any longer. The place has changed for the worse so much over the years, it was hard for me to accept it was the same company I started working for decades prior.

Judging by the posts I just quickly went through here, things continued to go downhill. But for the sake of the many people I cared about who still work there I hope that's not correct.

Has the situation improved at least a little bit in the past three years?

I just heard from a dear friend, former Global Crossing tech, currently working virtual circuit builds in PHX, that she's accepted a severance. I've not talked to her yet so I don't know if this was "optional".

35 years and I’ve never had to endure this much micro management. Gets worse every day and today got offers to leave. Sick of it but still have several years to go before retirement

I left 2 years ago after 20 years, it was bad. I can only guess the c-ap the people have to put up with now.

They just announced more layoffs yesterday. Jeff Storey and the rest of the executive pricks can shove it up their arse.
