Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

Union.

Every year we are made to go through this. Whether it be furloughs or layoffs, it happens every year. Aren’t we tired of feeling so expendable? I’m not usually pro or against union. I’ve never been bothered to care before, honestly. Now this is needed. It’s time for us to stop being rolled over every year with the same situation, but a different terrible excuse. This company takes advantage of those that carry the heaviest load. We just need to do something. We are all tired of this same song and dance.

I heard RDC lost there Director and several top level management personnel. The one's that needed to be let go are still there so we have been told. We will see what Monday brings to us. I wish those that have been let go the best of luck.

Why don’t you union boot lickers head over to the Boeing board and check out how useful the union has been there.

We don't have the balls to organize and stand up to management. Why you ask we like been pushed around. It time to face management. They are f ing with our lives. Do you know of anyone in management laid off today? They are f ing things up. It's time NO TO UNIONS WE NEED TO WALK OUT.

If a Union started at GAC, they'd move production somewhere else.

You guys are starting to sound like a B Grade soap opera. May have to reconsider that nomination.

We absolutely need to organize at this point. I promise you that Gulfstream will be better managed when the losers in management need to factor in a strike when they make knee jerk decisions to appease GD and management bonuses. It’s so easy for them to ruin lives to protect their golden parachute. If they know the consequence of their behavior will result in not being able to deliver aircraft in the good times they will manage the operation better and be prepared for the bad times. Right now they use your livelihood to absorb their stupidity which was only done to inflate their livelihood. Leverage their greed to sc-ape what you work so hard for into your pile. When we call them out and stand shoulder to shoulder they will lose like the tools that they are.

I hope this website is getting ad revenue from the union folks coming on here and trying to take advantage of a bad situation. You guys deserve at least an Oscar nomination for your portrayal of actual GAC employees.

Agreed. Never cared for unions but it has become clear that we need to organize. Our families depend on us. We dedicate so much of ourselves to making sure these aircraft and the customers are taken care of. I’m not sorry for fighting for my family and our future. We are worth more than the “its just business” excuse.
