Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

Was promised info from HR. All they want is their computer back.

See if they get the effing computer back if they don't pay me my final paycheck or give me my vacation pay. They didn't even tell me if they cut off my insurance! All they said is you are gone effective immediately. No severance - NOTHING. Eff them. I was a top performing engineer on several programs for 14 years!

Good luck getting your belongings back any time soon. In October, it took weeks and multiple deliveries before everything came.

They told us about getting equipment back, when we would get our personal belongings back, when the severance would begin, when our benefits coverage ends and when final vacation would be paid.

It’s s ucks, but you had to listen to what you were being told by either your manager or the hr rep in your call.

Joe Riveria is a Bombardier reject , Aubry Mase is a joke and if he didnt know excell backwards and forwards would have already gotten thrown out, those two and Derek Zimmerman the former piper stockroom clerk will run the rest of the business in the ground for PS. Mark Burns lost his best man during the last rif , Tim S, now just a matter of time before Mark is out the door with all the stock options and millions the rest of his lieutenants made for him.

Been at the place where huge leaps have been produced since 2004. And proud of that TEAM, but i have to say that i don't recall Mark Burns paying a visit to us!!. Lobardo, Henney and the old guard were constantly there asking, observing and mentoring our TEAM! When SC East was being built he showed his colors: What is that bldg there?, someone told him, his reply 'I thought they had already moved out'!!!! I say NO MORE of my feelings towards him,,,,, welll one more: "EMPTY SUIT"!!!

You’re right about Lombardo. Since he left, consistent downward slope: no serious continuous improvement, no vision (beyond that stupid creating finest experience rubbish), no clear roles/responsibilities, duplicitous and competing departments & personnel, ramp up in HR led indoctrination/PC foolishness, hurry up and do it twice because one will almost assuredly be sc-apped, finance systems and people that are as stupid and arrogant as they are useless, and don’t get me started on the non-value added parasites in Human Resources. Burns, Collette, Stuligross, Berman, Clare, and that self aggrandizing knucklehead VP over HR ought to be ashamed of the disorganized, odious mess they’ve meticulously built from their palatial offices and Palmetto Bluff - everywhere BUT visiting the ranks and talking to their people. But they’re not. Businesses ebb and flow, right, Mark? Clueless management hires clueless underlings, and so forth. Chickens are coming home to roost and mostly it’s just sad.

50% of my test organization laid off today. Can we really afford losing this many test folks as well as all the other valuable people in other organizations? Probably ought to ask Boeing what inadequate testing and effort costs. Lots of great people still there and that’s the only good news here. You guys be the change you want to see in the company, in spite of everything you’ll be up against.

Interesting how LT that is responsible for running the company and making / approving major decisions gets to pick who goes and who stays but despite numerous bad decisions, the LT members themselves continue to elude the ax. Definition of insanity. GD and GAC leadership has nearly ruined what was once a great company. Lombardo probably not available to come back but if so, should pay him whatever it took to get him back. Last of the competent GAC leadership.
