Wish everyone the best. It s—s but I always say I was looking for a job when I got this one.
In my shop at the service center a bunch of old schoolers got riffed. The contractors are still there . We will see what happens . I heard at build Y that all the contractors got laid off . Can some one confirm this for me.
Got a call 2 hours ago and laid if I’m a contractor aircraft technician
My dad was just let go after 9.5 years. Likely due his age. Bitter sweet, the end of an era.
Got laid off from GAC back in 09,And it was the best thing that happen..It s—ed at first but there are other companies that are hiring and pay is better..Trust me I’ve been with my company in Greenville tx -government contract since 09 and hadn’t gone through one layoff..
I'm a contractor and was let go today with five other contractors. Time to move on.
I’ve been told 20-25% of the workforce and it starts tomorrow.

It really feels like it’s targeted on direct people based on all the stuff they cut.
Been through 3 RIFs. Contractors have always been first to go. Sometimes even earlier than planned.
