Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Thanks for the masks

Really high quality masks you sent. Thanks. /s

Check out Best Buy. They sent their employees nice custom masks. Or any other retailer for that matter. These look like used whitey tidy underwear. These masks are a joke.

Big reason why I’m not going back anytime soon. It’s a health risk for me & my family.

$15 to sell customised masks to the schools?
AYKM?? Seriously??
Tell me that's not right!!

Because if so, that is beyond distasteful.
It's downright sick.

For a company that keeps spewing"we care about you", they couldn't have gotten any cheaper or worthless masks for their workforce. These facemasks will provide zero protection for you or the people in your immediate vicinity. They are made from the cheapest t-shirts. Simple cut out with slits for ears. If they paid anything for these laughable safety measures they were duped. For anyone to say we should be grateful for these, I call BS. These are simply an insult to the people who are working with the public. The very least this company could do is get their workforce a mask that will hold up with at least 1 washing.
I would bet not one of the elite in the ivory tower would wear this 4th grade home ec project

Like single ply toilet paper, compared to charmin. Think I'll be making my own with a skull and crossbones

Yes, my mask protects you and your mask protects me, but these are so thin that you can blow a candle out with it on. That is not enough protection to do anything. Even the guidelines about masks that they sent to the store say this. And to make it worse, they are selling these garbage masks to campuses like they are doing some great service.

How the Hell can afford masks? They can’t afford employees or books.

The mask isn't intended to protect you from contracting the virus. It's intended to keep your spittle from flying off of your nose and mouth on to surfaces. Once on a surface, this thing can live a while. Your mask protects me. My mask protects you. We protect each by wearing masks and wiping surfaces.

Wonder what kind of masks the ivory tower got for themselves. Probably N95's. If anyone is still working there.

I bought my own masks to use when if/when I go back to work. I have no intention of relying on Follett or my boss to protect me from cooties.
