@1ffj+14Cnqbps You need to focus on yourself. Why would anyone quit when they are about to get laid off. You sound like an pompous a–hole. Go f— yourself. A foolish and careless individual you are. It's called spreading awareness. You are a real b–ch.

@1ikt+14Cnqbps Ok Mr. Knowitall, you think you just got it all figured out don't you? There wouldn't be a problem if Boeing wasn't putting people at risk plain and simple.

I can pretty much guarantee most wouldn’t talk sh– to each other if this were done in person. The safety of the internet makes everyone mouthy and opinionated without having to face each other.

Jesus Christ....

This has turned into a laughable thread.

Everyone saying grow up, grow a pair, it’s Boeing’s fault, it’s the employees fault....feelings....

It’s one thing to be passionate about something but it’s another to just spout b—s—.

It’s the fault of all sides. The employee and the company. Each is responsible for itself or themselves. The company isn’t gonna hold your hand. And you ain’t gonna make them change.

Do what’s good for you. Take care of yourself. The company isn’t gonna do anything except give you a paycheck. If people aren’t following the rules, then call their asses out. If your concerned for your health or safety, then you have a right to do so if someone is jeopardizing your health or safety.

As for the union....they aren’t gonna change either. Unless forced to by you the dues payers. Give them the ultimatum by voting....whether contract based or voting them the hell out. We’re in the place we are in right now because people don’t do anything except complain after so few show up to voice opinions with a vote. Change of any type will only happen if you actually do it.

There’s no perfect scenario. But b–ching on the computer or just to each other isn’t gonna change anything. I vote but I’m not gonna hold somebody’s hand to get them to do so. We’re all adults by age, but not so much by actions.

Do something or shut the F up.

And commence with more stupid a– responses.

@1hhm+14Cnqbps Honestly, I'm not even gonna waste my time or energy reading your long post. Try learning some respect if you want people to read what you have to say and don't start off insulting people. Goes to show that you can't handle the truth. Sad to think Boeing is comprised of individuals like you.

@1cin+14Cnqbps then you are a dip sh-t and can't read like most of the other union sheep. If you actually read and comprehended the posts here, you would see that I am no union fan, especially this union. But, I see their place. That is why I reccomend getting a better union than the IAM.

However, enforcement has nothing to do with adherence. You are not 8, although many of you act like it.

If Boeing does not give you a mask, its Boeings problem.

If you choose not to wear a mask, that's your problem even if there is no one there to tell at you for not doing it.

Grow up, grow a pair and make good decisions. If people around you aren't f-ing tell them. Or are you afraid you won't be in the "in" crowd if you call someone out. This isnt high school and you are not a narc. You claim this is life and death yet you refuse to take any personal responsibility. But that is the union way right, it's always someone else's fault.

Maybe we should replace managers with 16 year old babysitters, because that is what you need.

This is indeed Boeing's fault for not only failing to enforce protocols, but for allowing non essential employees to return to work at this time. I'm sick of you die hard Boeing fans that defend the company scheme no matter how wrong or irresponsible it is.

Do you speed because there are no cops around to enforce it?
Do you steal or shoplift because no one is around to enforce it?
Do you k–l people because no one is around to enforce it?

My bet is no. Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is around to see it. Since you want "credit" for doing it or someone to tell at people for not doing it, it means you have no integrity. You can't be trusted to do the right thing (or hold others accountable) with someone in "management" being there to hold your hand. F-ing grow up. You won't tell people to do it, you won't tell management they are not, you want them to walk the floor all day and give citations.

You want it enforced, if I was in charge, I say if you are caught, you are fired on the spot, what, too harsh? Against your precious union rules? You say it's a matter of life and death, I'm protecting you, no warnings. You can't have it both ways.

Act like GD adults!!! You want to know why the union has abandoned you and Boeing won't take you seriously, this is it. You act like a bunch of children.

You want a map, let me draw it for you.

Get a union petition together to vote out the IAM and in a stronger union (they are out there). Yes, you will probably have to go on strike and renegotiate a contract with the new union and the company. But at least they will be working for your safety.

You say people tell you complaining won't work. Well what the hell do you think your doing, throwing your hands up and giving up, in true union fashion. I am.embarrased for you. You deserve what you get.

Carolina has a combination of disgruntled employees and ones who are scared to speak out for fear of being fired with no union. No I’m not a union diehard. Yes it’s a right to work state down there and they chose to not have it. Just saying that a union would help at times with workers not being able to have a voice. And they have high turnover.

Ok...now bring in smartass comments and tell me the I’m a union bible thumper, blah blah....it’s an opinion. Unions have their pluses and minuses.

@1woi+14Cnqbps

In your post, you have 3 main complaints

  • people taking masks off after managers leave
  • people not social distancing
  • people stashing cleaning supplies when put out.

Then you complain than none of those are being enforced by Boeing. Those particular issues are NOT a Boeing problem, they are a YOU problem.

You want to be treated like adults, act like it.

Taking off your mask - your choice
Standing to close to someone - your choice
Hiding cleaning supplies rather than putting them back - your choice

It's not Boeing that is the problem, it's the union individuals themselves that are NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES.

Examples of Boeing problems (and they have many, people should not be there at all) are:

Not giving you a mask to take off
Not giving you cleaning supplies to hide
Making you (forcibly) work right next to your fellow union brother.

Grow up and act like an adult. Boeing can't be out there playing nursemaid to hold you 6 feet apart or staple your mask to your face so you can't take it off. And you would not want them to or you would cry to the union they are micro managing you.

Act like adults!

Again, this will be voted down because you don't like the message, not because it is not valid.

Thw more downvotes those two posts get, the more I know I'm right.

The union is about money not safety.

Union folks would rather complain anonymously here than actually do something.

Union folks will call Boeing the great evil and post nasty things and negative articles here, but they still take the paycheck.

It's time to sh– or get off the pot.

No downvotes here sir, you are 1000% correct! We ALL need to band together & kick this worthless union out on it’s a–..... I’d say let’s organize a meeting with a whole bunch of us directly down there at the Airport Way hall, but no one will show. There’s strength in numbers, but who here cares enough to get off their lazy asses? It’s funny how the whole populace will show up down there to vote on a contract, or down to Monroe to pick up a measly $150 strike check, but when our actual health & safety is on the line ( not to mention our future ) everyone seems apathetic..... wake up people! What are they doing with that $4+ million a MONTH they take from us? They sure as hell aren’t using it to fight for ours & our families safety!!!

@1woi+14Cnqbps I think you missed my point with "grow a pair".

Ooooohh I called the union, I emailed them, I talked to the media. I guess there is nothing else I can do. BS. Grow a pair.

You actually have a clause in your contract for safety. It's hard to find because most of the contract is about money, but it's there, trust me. If you don't feel safe, don't go to work. If enough people don't go to work because they feel unsafe it becomes a "work slowdown" if a significant amount of people don't go, it becomes a "strike"

Strikes, you remember those right? Do some reading, unions went on strike ALL THE TIME over safety. I know I know, you only do that over money now, you have forgotten your roots as a union.

What is another name for a union, organized labor. You people are as organized as the board of directors. You s—. One of you needs to grow a pair and do what unions did years ago, organize. If enough of you do it, the actual union will have no choice but to stand behind you, because if there is one thing they hate more than losing your dues, it is looking like sh– to the general public.

Grow a pair!

Yeah, I know, this will be voted down. Not because it is not 100% accurate, but you hate yourselves because I am right.

Grow a pair!!!

Several of us tried to contact the union on their website to no avail. They don’t return messages.

They aren’t here to help. They wanted us back so they could continue collecting our dues. Especially with layoffs coming up, they’ll be losing a decent chunk.

Several have also contacted the media about Boeing’s bs safety protocol. It’s not being enforced from distancing to wearing masks (as soon as the managers walk away, off comes the masks) to cleaning much of anything. What cleaning supplies that get put out get taken and stashed wherever.

It’s a joke. They’ve already sent home multiple people as well. Obviously didn’t get sick at work but they have been here most of the week so...

Yeah yeah....boo hoo. Well when you get sick and can’t barely get around, don’t come whining to anyone about your “just a little cold”. Instead you piss off.

Its NOT on Boeing to call it. Unions were founded to protect the SAFETY of employees. The problem is the union was neutered long ago. No one has seen the unions balls in years (if you find them please the the lodge know).

If you had a real union, no one would be at work, no one.

Yet, you lemmings take after the union and along with the huge dues you pay every month to allow leadership to take lavish vacations, you have all surrendered your balls at the door as an initiation fee to the weak a– IAM.

It's time to decertify the IAM and vote in a new union, one who will actually fight for you and not their Caribbean Vacations.

Grow a pair or quit complaining
