Milking business from the existing install base is IBM’s business plan. They have been reporting it to Wall Street for years. Pathetic.

Krishna is emphasizing growth. In order to do that IBM needs to have a culture change, an innovative go-to-market plan, the proper sales staff and willing Partners to get new business. You can't continue to milk business from your existing install base by moving on-premise solutions to the cloud. You can't continue to buy your way to relevancy. I worked for IBM from 2009 - 2015. Speaking with former colleagues, the culture and tactics apparently haven't changed much. Currently, I sell competitive cloud solutions. IBM is rarely a competitor I have to deal with. You don't think portions of IBM's install base is looking to ween themselves away from them?
