Milking business from the existing install base is IBM’s business plan. They have been reporting it to Wall Street for years. Pathetic.

  • Krishna is emphasizing growth. In order to do that IBM needs to have a culture change, an innovative go-to-market plan, the proper sales staff and willing Partners to get new business. You can't continue to milk business from your existing install base by moving on-premise solutions to the cloud. You can't continue to buy your way to relevancy. I worked for IBM from 2009 - 2015. Speaking with former colleagues, the culture and tactics apparently haven't changed much. Currently, I sell competitive cloud solutions. IBM is rarely a competitor I have to deal with. You don't think portions of IBM's install base is looking to ween themselves away from them?
