Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC and the Covid Layoffs

DXC have announced that they are going to lay of 1,000s of staff, mostly in non-customer facing roles. You have to wonder who is going to do the work for the customers if only the cheesy, smiley, acquiescing face is left to say yes.

I’m in the UK and we were told by country manager that these cuts were planned since last year. Covid may have made the cuts deeper; but this is all business as usual.... off shoring with the bare minimum of local account managers to sign deals in country.

My number came up; team is slashed. It’s probably worse for those left behind. I won’t miss the unpredictable swerving cuts and chaotic attempts to avoid the icebergs.

I am sure many individuals at New Orleans office and other locations will be moving to the new locations in Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Does anyone know if these people are redeploying or cutting off employees from New Orleans office?

My role is a customer facing role, but I actually do work to deliver things for the customer - the only non-customer facing roles on the project are those who work at providing the infrastructure so that we can deliver the customer facing work...
