Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

If your a-- is sick stay the hell home. Screw the attendance policy

So there was an issue the other day with a Sweetwater crew that handed a train off to the outbound. The inbound crew member was sweating, dry cough and had a fever. He neglected to tell anyone of how he got this, which was not by chance. I guess after having a change of heart a told someone and when the train and crew got to Santa Teresa the crew was decontaminated with HazMat personnel, put through a series of tests and was undergoing possibly being medevacked. It was essentially to late at that point! Now why in hell, would you chance infecting someone else with this sh– if you believe that you have it. STAY HOME AND SAY F— THE ATTENDANCE POLICY. this will k–l others, and some states have been pushing for attempted murder charges is you knowing infect another through blatant disregard. Stop and think before you go to work if your sickness can be contributed to this sh– going around. Don't infect anyone else. Stay in your lane, get a lawyer if you have to fight the attendance policy, but stay the hell home. Please. hope all is well, just a bit of common sense needs to be used.

The company will only pay you if you are quarantined if you were exposed AT WORK. Say your loved one (spouse child whatever)becomes sick and tests positive and you are ordered to stay home by the company. They will not pay you. You are going to have to go thru RRB for sickness benefits and who knows how that is going to work. Since you arent sick just quarantined.

Come on people 28 points in 90 days. 3 points laying off sick on the xtra board? Hell half of you on the railroad have fmla that most of you abuse. Stop and think about the family's because obviously you don't give a sh– about your brother's and sister! The railroaders gave families that might have a loved one back home that has a weak immune system! It's a disgrace to work with complete a–holes that don't give a f— about anyone else except themselves! With that attitude I'll go to work even if I'm sick just goes to show we have alot of a–holes. And you talk about the company not caring about us? Damn shame we have to work around a–holes like some of you!

They must provide a reasonably SAFE place to work.

If we can be charged with attempted murder for abiding by their attendance policy, then they own it, good or bad. Remember that the carrier is responsible for providing us a reasonable place to work.

I will show up until they send me home, it is their policy. How it all turns out in the end is their responsibility.

Until they get rid of or change their stupid attendance policy people are going to come in sick. Can't blame them. If you stay home like you should, they'll fire you. Now you and your family don't have health insurance. With so many people ending up in the hospital over this c-ap, you'll be financially ruined. I will continue to go to work even if sick. They'll have to send me home. I think there's going to be a lot of people getting sick at work and I hope everybody sues them into oblivion.

I was forced into a job briefing in a group of more than 10 today. And that led me to being extremely worried about my health which in turn led me to lose sleep which eventually led me to being at work while very very tired. I hope I don’t slip trip fall or punch my little fingerz. There is nothin I could do as our company is run by fear and threats.

Does anybody else have a similar situation?

Not staying home. The order to stay home is for wimps and crybabies. The globalist elite are just trying to take our freedoms. It's the breakaway civilization digging their claws into us deeper.

Damn right I am coming to work sick or whatever, that’s their policy, if you are scared, you can lay off and get fired. If we all die or get fired, just call the lawyers, or instruct those left behind to do so. If you are still here at this point your significant others are just hanging on for your check when you are gone because you are rarely at home anyway.

Reading the stand down message from the chief medical director three people have managed to cause 58 people to have to be quarantined because they came to work. Now they want everyone to speak up if you suspect someone’s sick (which common sense says stay home), so instead of admitting hey we need to reevaluate how we are handling this whole situation including the $hitty attendance policy that’s needed to be updated since we started messing with it in the first place and make it realistic and comparable with the current job markets policies. I’m wondering what happen to all 58 people who got quarantined because of the ignorance of the 3 initial people infected.

The temporary Quarantine Leave Policy states that you can call the nurse line and answer some questions if you’re sick, or have documentation from a physician or health department saying you’re quarantined, and you’ll receive your basic daily rate of pay while out. NO MORE EXCUSES! STAY HOME!
