My facility was giving paper work yesterday to state that we are essential workers. Just curious if stopped. If this whole thing gets that bad. Will any law enforcement acknowledge that letter. It’s typed up by NOV management. Figured we would have something more official from the government. How are they to know that I didn’t type this up on my home computer etc....

The world is literally awash with oil and excesses production. I would hardly call most of our operations essential.
The federal government has identified 16 critical sectors, including critical manufacturing and energy, that are considered essential to the function of the country. NOV meets both criteria. State and local governments know this, and are working their stay home orders with these exceptions in mind. The letters are just reinforcing this.
F— NOV I’m staying home. My health and family’s health is too important. They cannot make you work, Report them if you have to.
Our division isn't even getting letters. The way in this morning, didn't really seem like much is shut down though, plenty of traffic on the road.

If u are seriously worried about it why don’t you put in for few weeks vacation we just received in January. Don’t tell me you are already out???
It has been stated by the government when they declared the 15 day stay home order. This is what shut all other non essential businesses. Food for pick up, take out or delivery. They stated at that point, essential consisted of emergency, first responders, law enforcement and, the energy sector. Welcome to the sacrifice!
