I’m still trying to figure out why I haven’t been instructed to work from home. I sit at a desk all day and do all my communication through computer or phone. I attend meetings remotely and cannot see any reason why I am putting myself and family at risk of catching this virus by being surrounded by people who are likely not taking this situation seriously. The only conclusion I can arrive at is that corporate greed is driving managements decision. How many people need to die before leadership makes the call that most organizations have already made. My kids have been home for weeks because greed isn’t driving the decisions at their schools. Making everyone stand next to each other while their temperatures are taken incorrectly is a joke and is a sad attempt by management to have an excuse for not doing the right thing. That person who was calling for GUlfstream workers to unionize might have actually been onto something. Our safety is not being prioritized in this time of crisis.

I have read the emails that have been put out and they all seem to say if You don't feel safe you can stay home, use your vacation or take time off without pay and you would not be punished. Take charge of your life and don't blame others because you go to work. I really enjoy my job yes my manager needs to jump off a table and stomp really hard when he lands so maybe his balls might drop. I already applied for unemployment so buck and keep your head up high and move on. Aim high, be all you can back it up buttercup.
Gulfstream management is comprised of a classist group of people not considering the less paid employees who are not getting the $80k bonuses they get annually and can afford a heafty doctor bills. Unionizing would stop much of the classist and favoritism within the culture and disregard for the people who get the work done. The Managers and Sr. Managers In Purchasing/ Supply Chain, Specially Completions / AAP, are so incompetent it is not surprising of the POOR decisions to put people at risk for a dollar. Although management finally made a decision to work remotely recently who knows who has been exposed.. If the employees are lucky this situation will cause the firing of the incompetent Management especially in the area of Completions and AAP Purchasing/ Supply Chain. At what point will they allow Initial Phase to take over this disorganized group. Stay strong and stay safe and remember GOD IS IN CONTROL. and he reminds us that whatever you do to the LEAST of mine is also done unto him; who knows, “the day of reckoning” might be upon those selfish individuals. No ILL will wished just fairness.
Your attempt at class warfare is obvious and reeks of something slimy management would do.

I guess you think you and your family is more important than the employees in the floor that can’t work from home.
