Get the heck out of Dodge. Anyone that can afford to leave Corning should do so. Move To a big city that offers you more opportunities. When are people going to wake the hell up.
Should only last until the end of April, from what I understand as it applies to union employees. Tell him to hang in there. He's probably aware this happens from time to time.
