Will Refinitiv provide a special compensation award to help ease the financial burden of the coronavirus pandemic to its employees, like some companies are doing?

No off course not! They will only look at ideas to save money and cut costs.
Bonus re:2019? Hahaha! I got outperforming and didn't get any bonus at all
If you are a contractor you should be asking your contracting firm for any relief. Not Refinitiv.
People whining on this thread should be working for one of the companies that is laying off staff and facing bankrupcty.
What additional financial burden have you experienced ? You are probably not commuting and incurring costs for lunches/social etc.
The bonus payments you are reading about are probably for people on the front line that have no choice and working their ar*e off to keep services going and people alive.
if you fit into this category, I agree you should be recognised. If not, be grateful you have a job and are healthy !
Be glad that many of us (those who at least 'performed') HAD a bonus re: 2019. Many other firms have fired people or cancelled this year's bonus. Be glad and feel lucky that ours were already paid out in March -a few weeks made all the difference. Are you still asking for more? No one owes you a special compensation. Be glad most of us still have a job.
I'm a contractor (because it seems they don't want to hire full-time IT staff outside of India) and I am not working since they are making me be in the office which is difficult at this time.
The only way how that could work if they move your employment to a different company. Probably that's what they are doing here.
apparently they found the way how to do it.. and it's coming to your town/department.. forget the severance.. this new outsourcing wave is worse than previous ones..
"sign resignation letter without severance" - why would I ever do that? They can fire me without severance and risk being sued, but if they want me to resign then they better offer something
some groups around NYC got covid-19 "bonus": they were offered to transfer to EPAM or sign resignation letters, waving all severance..3 days to consider.. The best time and place for negotiations.. Coincidence? - highly unlikely..
What on earth would the payment be for?
Everyone is still being paid, working from home and all their costs such as transport have been cut. If anything, everyone will be better off!
This board is full of b—s— a lot of the time.
Given that employees are working from home on full pay, what is the additional financial burden referred to by the op?
Wow. I thought this company cared about its employees.
No.
