Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Safety Last

Nothing personal, it's just business. Here at Boeing, we strive to keep focus on the good rather than the bad. Even in a state of emergency, we lie to ourselves and to our employees by fictitiously claiming that the enclosed and poorly ventilated Everett facility is a safe place to work. We ensure them of this by disregarding the danger. We only hold human life to certain extent. Keeping our company running on pointless production is the current goal. Safety is of concern, but due to our self created financial problems, we see more value in the continuation of inadequate mechanical assembly of planes that won't be delivered for possibly years if at all. We don't believe our employees really even need fave masks. We will admit that our personal protective equipment and policies are not perfect. They may even be extremely flawed, lacking clarity and guidance. We cannot provide hand sanitizer either. We apologize for the dreadful inconvenience. Please continue doing what you can to avoid endangering yourself and others while focusing on a task of unimportance. Feel free to voice your concerns. We will try our best to care.

The truth is there should be absolutely no one working during suspension of operation and if they do the deep cleaning they claim to do what PPE are they providing to those that do this process and what disinfectant is being used. I personally wear a respirator that is P100 certified with all the bells and whistles, because Boeing doesn't care about our safety and well being. It's all a huge front.

Was just informed by a friend that works in a different shop that even though the Co. is shutting down for "our safety", that management called a meeting & told all that Triple Time would be offered to anyone who wanted to work during "shutdown" ..... he was incredulous

Send Boeing to China. Let this all be Beijing's problem for awhile.

"when confronted with sharp questions they resort to obfuscation"

This suits Boeing pretty well.
