It's your call to prepare your resume and start searching jobs elsewhere if you are concerned about layoffs. If you sit back and wait, then become one of 1000's of displaced employees rushing to compete for the scarce job openings you might spot on the job boards. Don't allow your employer to make that choice for you.

Layoffs in different areas. Lots in behavioral health happened. Areas with low performance and budget constraints as a result. Our area not integrated after reorg so if you were moved around a bit you are at risk.

I believe it depends on the department. I have friends in different department/roles who are either very busy, or due to the virus their workload dropped significantly. Those ones were told they maybe laid off if they cannot find work for them. I think each of us can tell, to some degree how long we have. If our work is transferred, halted or being supported else where, you can only do that for so long before they consider a furlough.

If you know the coding below, you know the sources. Why there are no questions and why the decisions makes no sense . short term increase in profit margin but long term damage. Follow the trail of bad decisions, and it’s heavily in one ladder influenced by the very top. They say jump. “These” won’t ask how high. They go on a plane and jump then say if you want, I can make my teams go “higher” if you pat me on the back.

COURTj3ST3RJEE - source - Still dirty and hands free. Brazen to speak.

  1. .ACKEY henchmen like elDesCreepo - Deny all. Make time to lie behind the scenes To protect himself, the chameleon. Throw your team and others department helping you under the bus. rumor is jumping ship soon while leaving “the charted” house mess - if you know, you know. he’ll cut the entire “staff” under him for ”three letters” of approval.

If you see that “black book,” you’re in trouble cause the script was carefully done and was planned before your term.

Our department had mandatory meeting this morning and we were told not sure if we will be laid off yet. Manager seemed very upset. It was vague. Our workload went to zero today..no cases to work. Very on edge..this is almost too much stress...

What percentage? United is one of the biggest employers in the country. No details so I will believe when i see it. Though i would not be surprised considering the environment right now.

I think layoffs or furloughs are inevitable due to the financial strain of COVID-19 on the organization.

If you are offered or mandated into a different role for the organization, I would say yes unless you have another job lined up.

I have been told that they are keeping people because they are afraid of every one getting sick at the same time. Some shuffling of resources may be necessary and cause fear and confusion. However this company created that fear way before Coronavirus. What I do think is after this is over the company will go back to usual. But maybe not, the world is changing by the moment. Hang in there everyone.

I think more people would actually find your claim credible if you provided at least a date. Which departments or division to be affected are great to have but are understandably difficult to obtain.

While I do think we will see a reduction in force before mid-year I am going to caulk this one up to someone trying to stir the pot out of boredom.

Please provide sourcing for your claims, or you're just a trump troll trying to scare people.

Healthcare is needed right now more than ever. Why doesn't this company put on their big boy pants, stop worrying about ways to get or keep a dollar and come to the forefront of this crisis? Build out new platforms, plans, policies that are new and exciting and needed. This is the perfect opportunity for this company to act like a leading healthcare provider and innovate and prove to the country why private insuance is needed over government sponored/controled insurance. It is frustrating to see this company sit here and do nothing except try to see how many people they have to fire to keep those C-Suite executives' billionaire status.

Thank you for sharing! I can only assume that the lay-off pool has increased thanks to Corona.
