Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Comcast tech with COVID-19

Here you go. Service tech with the coronavirus, going in and out of other homes. Let's do some math. If he averaged 5 homes a day, and didn't show signs for let's say 10 days......that's 50 homes that he exposed to the virus.

But this is WS and the tech's are business as usual, except don't bring that the office, take that c-ap straight to your house and family.

"What’s that have to do with Windstream-19"

Just a warning that the techs are the most vulnerable in all of this. ATT just closed a yard down in Atlanta because a tech tested positive as well.

I have yet to have a manager call, or email, to see if any of us techs have hand sanitizer, face masks, gloves, etc.....All we get is "hey, this is the script the call center will be reading to the customers when they call in. Be careful out there. Don't get sick, we need all hands on deck". I've ordered masks and hand sanitizer several weeks ago when I thought this might happen, and guess what......still waiting.

Techs should be NID only right now. But guess what, still getting dsl pro installs, jack installs, etc......They should give us a some form of significant hazard pay for all of this, because if we are considered a necessary service at times like this, then they should recognize that and "reward" all that are on the front lines, having to deal with the unknown every single day that this is going on. I mean, OSHA has recognized this as a work place hazard, so WS should step up.
