It was in the paper that a North Platte employee tested positive for coronavirus. It didn’t say what department the employee was though.

There is another UP employee, who was exposed to the first employee, who has tested positive and is in home quarantine. Have no idea how many have been exposed from the first and second. Have no idea where these people have been in town. North Platte has three positives so far. Third was a travel exposure overseas.
UP doesn't care nor has any protocols in place for employees or the community.
UP is not taking this outbreak serious. They are interested in containing it. Only in you coming to work.
how are u going to protect us when you are on a system gang and have a job briefing with 70- 80 men gathered like a covy of quail in a small area
Anyone who said that this wasn’t going to happen is extremely naive, how many times have you come to work and someone there not be sick. It’s the railroad way they run you into the ground and then when you finally do get sick try to fire you for it.
3 days ago or so under a posting called "high road" I made an entry stating that this would happen... you know, people showing up to work sick and not telling anyone before being outed by coworkers. I remember a couple people referring to me as a lowlife POS for even thinking like that. Well, turns out I was right... about part of it at least. We will have to wait and see how fast it spreads across the system. Leave it to one of those lowlife dirtbag managers to be the one to show up to work with it inevitably spreading it to others.
Hopefully the employee that contracted the virus will be ok and didnt spread it to anyone else, although Im pretty sure if you have been sick in the last few months chances are you have already had it.
UP sent home 2000 employees from Omaha to work remotely. Only 500 people working onsite at downtown office now.
Everyone else in the field....hope you enjoy the coronavirus.
If they call anyone back (which is doubtful) they’ll just lay them back off once people return to work. The company doesn’t want extra people on the payroll to take away from all the “money” they’ve made recently. This place is only one good match away from completely melting down. Honest question is how many of the people that would get called back in that hypothetical situation would return knowing full well that they won’t have a job a few weeks after they return?
To whomever contracted co-vid 19, i wish you nothing but sucess in your battle with this new virus. Stay optimistic and takw care.
Don’t worry UP has a plan to fight this COVID-19. It’s called business as usual.
This is the kind of sh– that will make us all sick. I understand he’s a f—ing manager but stay home. He didn’t self quarantine like he was suppose to. I’m sure he has some balls to lick at work. Lick them and go home
Not sure but I don’t think the coronavirus can be transmitted on a conference call.
Yeah there was one infected on a mow gang. I’m sure nobody else was notified or quarantined.
An id–t manager went on a cruise then returned to work and had a conference call meeting with 16 other managers and the superintendent. Who knows how many employees are exposed.
