Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Windstream Flu coming to an office near you

I feel like we’re all being
Put at risk by coming to the office for work. Windstream Little Rock can’t take much more negative presSS. Are CEOs liable for putting their employees at risk?

Windstream was late to the game with the work from home initiative. With the fact we sell the technology, we should of been ahead of dong so. Before the majority of businesses were doing it. I was trying to pitch OS on video from a WS office, when prospects were home

Was his own personal stuff. Tools go in a house and rhen go inro another house without being cleaned. I asked him what he did to protect my home and he laughed. Gave me his managers name BOB and a phone number. Bob doesnt pic up.

Windstream CSTs in my area continue to work and enter homes . No disinfectant, no hand sanitizer,no face masks, tools and equipment go from customer to customer, no regard for employee or customer safety from management (incidentally ,sitting this one out from home) Zero leadership from a zero company.

We are all encouraged to work from home if we can, which everyone should have the capability by now except obviously the field techs and they need to rely on the rest of us to take care with their dispatches and do our best to make sure they are not walking into a dangerous situation. This may be easier said than done but we have to do our best to look out for them the best we can.

Encouraged to work from isn’t the same being told to work from
Home.

In their defense, the leadership team probably doesn't realize there is a pandemic in the U.S..

Field Service Cloud (the Oracle product they use to drive tech assignments. Managers assign workloads and skillsets through the software. All the planners do is assign the tickets to an area. Managers have the ability to manually override this.

Your manager is the problem which I think you've identified correctly.

My manager has zero clue as to what goes on day to day. But he bad mouths our planner to no end in every team meeting. Why can managers track my movements via gps but the planners do not have access to this? I will be dispatched 4hrs away and then get another job back at the CO where we have two techs sitting with nothing to do. But the planner cant see that, only my manager who hasnt left his couch in 2020 can see that......

Stop it! Windstream is just about mandating working from home in the most affected area's. Like in the State of NY we have to work remote per the the governor. Maybe once it starts ramping up in Arkansas you will have the same option!

Everyone I know is being encouraged to work from home. I agree the local managers are very close to being completely replaced by the planners.

Why haven’t they implemented the work from home policy? They won’t say don’t come to the office. It’s all our decision

If you go into an office, I believe that as of yesterday, they must take your temperature before you go in. Just passing that along. Good Luck. (A former employee)

So then WS had a ticket ten minutes away, and instead of loading it to you, they load it to the tech who is two days away!!LOL
WS wants six percent or less OT, yet the local managers work twice as hard to do nothing than they would by wrestling control away from the planners!! They have no idea how close they are to being obscure. They keep saying customers are waiting until we come out of bankruptcy but for every one of those, there are two more customers waiting out contracts so they can leave!!LOL
