Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Are you being bullied to force you out?

I have been bullied by my entire team to make me feel worthless so that I leave. They dont care about your past contributions or the fact that they only have jobs because of your many contributions to keep the lights on for your project in the early days of success. I have been harassed by being made fun of, talked down to, and down right verbally abused.

Is anyone experiencing the same? If you get laid off make sure to report the abuse to HR of the individuals involved and post on here the departments and teams responsible so we can force these f—ers out.

I appealed a CAP when the Manager discriminated against me for military leave. They will have you sign an arbitration letter....it is pointless. Unless they have violated federal law like USERRA AND you have evidence to back it up then they bully you to leave! Stick it out! Find other coworkers to give you references about your quality of work! My gloves are coming off... I have evidence and ready to file my documents! Karma!

This company is definitely NOT ethically complaint and they bully those they discriminated to discourage large public lawsuits. They will start up layoffs not because they are “shedding” nonessentials because “once again” that would be a LIE! All it takes is for them to lay off a person who has the evidence to show what really happened and the actions taken against the whistle blower. The lawsuit will not be based on being laid off... hang on it will happen. Karma is coming it’s a matter of time and it will be soon!

It happened to me in 2018. I have almost 18 years with Optum/ UHG. I appealed a ridiculous CAP that my director was too cowardly to deliver to me in person. No, it appeared on my file while I was on PTO.

My advice is do it only to prolong the timeline enough for you to leave. I left, and gave four days notice. In retrospect, I shouldn’t have given any.

I was bullied by my 2 managers stuck it out and my position was eliminated a few months later ... was there for almost 8 years and given a severance pkg with a promise not to sue.

Posting department and names on a public forum may hurt your harassment case. Read the article I’ve linked below if you believe you are being harassed and file with the EEOC, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission federal agency. Educate and protect yourself if you are being harassed.

I felt bullied too, then was laid off in Dec :( I stuck it out and they had to pay me a severance.
