They just don’t care. It’s all about the money at the top and the bonus that they make. Of course they’re going to cut payroll that is how they make their bonus this year and pretty much every year. So once The busy time is over they are willing to cut cut cut. They will blame it on somebody else but let’s be real. The amount of money they make is obscene and what they challenge the stores to do is unrealistic and they don’t care. And that’s what people have to get through their heads. They just don’t care. You care because that’s not how you were raised and that’s how you want to do your job. They bank on it. I can tell you about RM’s that are out on the golf course.You can call them because you need to get some information or an answer to a question and they will convince you that they are in a meeting or busy. But guess what they’re out on the golf course and it is disgusting. They just don’t care.

Well they do care about their bottom line. Just cancelled the managerial conference, -after- steamrolling payroll, as though managers wanted that over labor dollars. Really it's less that they don't care (they still don't) more that they just care about themselves more and are completely bassackwards on everything else. I sympathize completely.
