Let's review. Mattel is an antiquated dinosaur of a company with tired old brands run by clueless, inexperienced prima donnas. CEO and CFO are both leaving after a miraculous year where Mattel barely but mysteriously beat expectations every quarter. Nothing fishy going on there! Sure, we're a bargain! Somebody's gonna snap us up and get a great deal!
Because of this reasons Comcast will buy us!
What of any VALUE is there to sell?
1) Barbie can’t sustain itself without using ALL the company’s funding - it’s it 60th year it DECLINED - this is a irrefutable sign of the end of a brand that has long outstayed it’s welcome
2) HotWheels for all its size is a penny profit business - Mattel makes .05 cents per car and the retailer makes .06 per car. Not a profitable business by any measurement.
3) Fisher-Price has been left a shell of itself from being s—ed dry of funding by Barbie and HW. What money it did have it squandered on a GM’s misplaced vision on nostalgia. John Goodman as spokesperson - the only worse choice would’ve been Bill Clinton.
4) American Girl is completely irrelevant and has been knocked off by every major retailer. There’s no meaningful IP - never was. You have a screechy witch running it now - yeah, that’ll change its trajectory.
Mattel is for sale everyday... the $14 share price reflects that no one is interested in buying any shares!

Either sell or bankruptcy. The people making all the decisions are collecting their bonus and then some, all legitimately. Then they announce their is not enough money to substantially pay the bills and Mattel withering away. But they got their millions out before stuff hits the fan.
