Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

MIP's going bye bye in a couple weeks

First MM's email titled "MIP 2020 Program update" at 3:30PM on 2/10, then BS's email titled "Management Incentive Plan" at 3:34PM on 2/13, "your manager will set up a time, if they haven't already to review", hahahahahaha, anybody think they are going to inform us there is something positive? Last year, those with the word "test" in their job description, became "MIP ineligible" , now it comes to the rest of the band 4's, managers and the new "Team lead's" are all exempt. Stay tuned the first week of March, to get the bad news officially. I'm sure they have the standard lie of "We are all in this together", "Managers are in the same boat", yea right. Hear that laughter in the distance? That is Johnharve11, he called all of this years ago, 100%.

I've already put in my resignation notice, moving to a smaller company through a friend. Let them reap the results of showing top employees how little they matter and they think they're easily replaceable.

Wall Street likes cutting MIPs. All they know is cutting expenses. Hon leadership works for WS. This great "economic expansion" is really getting long in he tooth. Noting lasts for ever.

So as a band 4, does that mean no more bonuses for me?

Cutting the MIP after years of record sales, record profits and all time high stock price? Is Dairy man lying to Wall Street?

Entrenched.....Band 4s are also moving on. It's never too late to escape the circus, pursue better opportunities, have less stress, and a higher salary.

MIPS are fair as one takes it into account when they accept a salary or position.
In many cases, Band 3 overlaps Band 4 in pay so the MIP is the difference.

MIPS were cut just a few years ago. Down from 15 or 10% to 10 or 5. How many quit then? None

Truth is that if you are band 4, most likely you are too entrenched to leave for somewhere new. And the company knows it.

MIP was never fair to the bands 3 and below. To think that they were the only ones responsible for the company’s success is a joke. What is the ratio of 4 and above to 3 and below?? This smacks of military hierarchy in an undeserving manner. This S##k A$$ company is a poor example of a Prime Contractor for the US Government. In this age of #metoo environment HI is a shining example of what is WRONG with America. Some survived Agent Orange from the 70’s - how many will survive Orange Spray Tan of the 2020’s?? Cash out and GET out! Peace

The ones with good sense have already looked for (and hopefully found) better jobs, or retired. Those who remain are there for reasons known only to themselves.

OK, I am new here.

Does this mean in 2020, all Band 4's across Honeywell, that in 2020 were eligible for MIP, will no longer be eligible?

Isn't that, in effect, like a cut in pay?

That is one way to get rid of your Band 4's without having to pay severance. They will obviously all start looking for decent jobs. They will get rid of some of the dead wood but also a lot of talent too.

That's ok because I will be gone by then. The 401k match paid as a lump when the stock was at a 52 week high was another stroke of genius. Yes, I understand the company wants to hang onto their money as long as possible....

I’m surprised they haven’t tried clawing back previous years’ bonuses. After all, if you don’t deserve them now, you probably didn’t deserve them then.

Not feeling sorry for that. Profit Sharing and Bonuses should be for everybody. Make it so, #1.

Yet another reason for smart engineers to say goodbye to a used up industrial. Why are you still there?
