More layoffs in Feb-2024 for Ashley Furniture. No warning, no notice, insurance stops the same day as layoff. Just a number there.

Ashley laid fired over 300 in North Carolina. Furloughed several hundred more. Thousands of people across the country are without jobs from this company but they act like it's just a small number of people.

Ashley Furniture eliminated my entire team on Friday, March 20th, because we are no longer "essential" (we were in labor recruiting) we had 0 warning. If Ashley truly cared about their employees the plants would be SHUT DOWN. Making furniture is not an essential business right now and very few people are buying. There is no way to practice social distancing in the manufacturing plants. They are spreading the virus and laying off people because they are worried about paying the big wigs. The Waneks are not going hungry anytime soon, Ashley is a multi-billion dollar company, they can afford to pay for sick time and paying salaries if a plant needs to shut down but they NEVER will. Profits>people in Ashleys' eyes.

My job was eliminated on March 20th, 2020.

Ashley Furniture terminated and reduced staff across the country due to the coronavirus and poor sales.

The saying at Ashley is " They care for their employees." Stay clear and spread the word as The Caring, is only in their pocket.

Not only will Ashley Furniture have layoffs but all companies who rely on manufactured products from China will have cuts next quarter due to coronavirus. Next quarters financials will be low. Currently the stock market is going up because companies are reporting financials from last quarter of 2019 and yearly financials of 2019. But starting after March, USA will be in bad shape because majority of products USA uses are from China. This is why it's so important to start building things in USA or in several foreign countries and not rely on just one country. Going forward, with global warming, there will be many health epidemics. Just look at the last three years - with MERS, SARS, Ebola, Coronavirus, etc. If these viruses start mutating and figure out how to survive in the human body, things are going to get worse. Pharamcuticals need to re-start investing in stronger antibiotics.
