Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Connecting the Dots....really

My wages are 10% below where they should be if ONLY Windstream could have kept even with inflation. Is this connecting the dots sufficiently HR?
If you can't fix this issue then just be quiet. Glad I do not run Human Resources as I would be ashamed of my abilities or lack there of. Take your 20202 priorities and stick it!

When I connect the dots - More work for the worker bees and worker bee pay that does not keep up with inflation I get depressed and angry. Then when I see management tell us that we should NEVER EVER ever expect our wages to keep even with inflation ever again........but we should work ever harder so management wages can grow and grow and they can also get bonuses I get more desperate.
I predict that Uniti and Windstream will make a deal, the Gboys. TT and LL among others will again reap additional ill gotten gains and the rest of Windstream employees will be told to go pound sand and it is not a prison. Has there ever been a worse place to work with worse management for employees. I usually like to do my job the best I can.....but I feel like a fool to try any longer for this company and specifically for this type of greedy management.

People whine about where they live there is nothing else in the area that pays the same as their job at WE, but they don't seem to care about the rising health care costs and their diminishing raises that doesn't keep up with the industry, but they are still happy....until they get let go, and then they will wished they had started looking for something else 6 months ago....

Every year you stay at windstream your take home pay gets smaller and smaller due to no raises and soaring health benefit contributions. It makes no fiscal sense to stay there. And the health benefits are non existent. I was paying $5k a year in monthly contributions and had a $3k deductible, so I had to pay $8k out of pocket each year before windstreams health benefits would contribute. In 5yrs they covered nothing. I paid for all my doctors visits and pr-scrip-ions out of pocket. And dont get me started on the fines and penalties if everyone on your plan doesnt go get bloodwork......which they billed me for because I went to my family doctor to get done

You need to leave that place. Any employer not offering a cost of living increases in this economy should be ashamed of themselves. But the LR5 hit the lottery and never have to work again. Their incompetence has been rewarded 10x’s over
