Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Morale

Does anyone else feel a dark cloud surrounding the office in Eden prairie? It just seems like people are very nervous with good cause and morale has tanked. I don’t give af anymore and pray they just lay me off and get it over with.

The fake well wishes and robotic hugs are creepy. Typical usa mentalities, artificial and superficial. Empty shells of humans who are owned

Maybe ask what’s happening at those informative town halls. They appear very honest and caring.

I was laid off in January I was informed at the beginning of Dec and received a severance. Your team will no longer associate with you give you fake well wishes during this time. Thank god I had the wherewithal to start looking the day I found out. A week after I was finally let go I had three offers more pay more benefits. I say to say if the writing is on the wall do what is best for you and your family because corporate will never care about your well being. Always have more than one iron in the fire. I rather have started looking vs not have anything should you be impacted by the layoff. I wish everyone the best again put you and your family FIRST!

It was toxic. Just leave and creat your own company. Otherwise your head will be on the chopping block next. These teammates are brainwashed and it’s sad to see grown adults in this denial about reality. Good luck to all. The place was a feces show.

Working at a US capitalistic dump. Why were the boomers, the wig wearing, dancing lackeys so surprised? Many boomers were still working for greed not bc they have to. Your employees working dp for a putrid American company. Corporate Stockholm syndrome. Look out for yourself not a US dump

Stop posting about Boomers, wigs and dancing. If you don't have info we can use, then resist the urge to post and go play your Xbox.

There's something to be said about more experience and knowledge. Anyone who doesn't respect that isn't in the know.

Boomer is defined as 65 years old and up... you have people who are retirement age still working in your midst??? If that’s true, then yes, retire already, give someone else a chance!

Blast the happy song, wear a smiley face t shirt, scream the corporate aims, stomp the feet, wear a wig, do silly skits, have theme music, sword fight, and watch boomers play dress up.

No, it's company wide. I am so detached from my job because of the last 6 months of layoffs. My productivity is the lowest it has ever been and I have been here for many years. I take work very seriously, so I hate feeling this way. Executive management have succeeded in their quest to transform and disrupt healthcare. They took a once great company and destroyed it.
