To all the men that like to whisper in the bosses ear about other co-workers and things, I hope it was worth it. In the end every single person was a number and I hope when you thought you were safe the boss just used you.
OMG, Go on Glassdoor and read the comments. Most are pro and sighting the pay is very good. LOL yes, it's good because you're working 70-75 hours a week so basically 100 hours of pay when you included OT. Now $1500 week is okay but when you work 6 a week 12 hour what can of trade-off lifestyle is that?
Anyone read about this loram company? Go check them out in the career section. ....idk who takes this kinda job...quick rundown, this is what NON UNION railroading looks like
- $15 hr
- 6 weeks of 12+ hr days....no rest days...on the road....
- They pay lodging but NO per diem
- Then 2 weeks off
Yes this company Loram has all surfacing, section, inspecting and welding gangs. UP is transitioning to outside companies. My opinion it’s time for you to move on from UP and not try to holdout to see if it will get better, it won’t. Our seniority means nothing here.
Should have already there is nothing anymore. Think of all the things you missed we have missed with our family no one cares about that 😒
They've laid off tons of Boilermakers, and still subcontract to boiler works for accident repairs! Union Pacific doesnt care!
I’m in Arizona and seen some Loram crews changing a rail, what can we do? Time check? It don’t work.
This should not surprise you at all. Progress rail has also been stepping up their operations on locomotive maintenance
It’s a way for UP to cut more costs. Loram has all there own benefits.
I heard that too, Loram will be getting all the work. Time to jump off UP ship!
