CoP is paying useless IT contractors $160/hr+. Do the math. Most contract companies take a third so that is a salary of about 200K for people that can barely speak English doing work that they are not qualified to do and doing it poorly. But who am I to challenge the status quo. ConocoPhillips used to be a place where results mattered. Sad to say that is no more. I'll give you a hint, we all love stupid sayings here, Field of the Future!

IT contractor here. I'm getting paid about 1/3 of that.
Thanks for the tip.
H1B, its how we roll. Nothing against people trying to better their lives. Just know that you have no future. There is a reason you are here.
I know that it is way lower than 95%, either you are lying or just don't have a clue.
I know 95% of contractors are below that rate.
Contracting out provides flexibility for price swings but is massively more expensive. It’s not really a good alternative vs a trained, motivated, and planned lean workforce, but that’s too much work for our management.
I know a few contractors getting payed a lot more that that.
