Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Timing Should Be Right for PRP

With all of the financials wheels falling off the cart at Ford it should be about the right time to offer the PRP. With a little luck they offer it don't get the #'s they need and sweeten the offer as they did in 18' when they rolled the "Enhanced Plan"

Has anyone heard any chirpping regarding the plan.

I doubt they will have the luxury of offering a PRP progam at this point. They will offer firings with very limited severance pay/benefits, as they may actually start to realize that the ship is sinking, watching GM and Chrysler sailing by.

Luxurious PRP packages have no place when you are failing.

They already are cutting people in stealth mode. Two 30+ year veterans walked out this week by manager. Not a word was said about it in our staff meeting. My LL6 told us the LL5 asked him to find out when each of his senior staff not in scope for succession planning intend to retire. It is inevitable that more people will be released

With the current status of the company and the leadership, it wouldn’t surprise me if they just started cutting people. Based on the current environment, not sure it could be any worse. I assume everyone has pretty much built up thick skin by now.

My VP said 2018 PRP was a "mistake", too high percentages in many plants opted to take the plan and the company 'suffered". Not sure what the alternative would be
