The Optum board is talking about another round on March 4th. What are you all hearing?

All I can say is we were all told back in October that the company is trying to save cost and that means the jobs are going overseas. We were told to look for other jobs. We know that the job is only temporary. Make sure you have all your docs sent to your personal emails so you don't have to scramble. HR is a pain the a&& to deal with. I got laid off in January. I have to keep asking for boxes to send the equipment back as I was WAH. They sent me one box with the instructions which was missing half the equipment on it. I still have some of the equipment and have contacted them and no second box. SO I am not worrying about it anymore. There are a lot of jobs out there. Start applying. Re-employment will send you back to school if need be to get your certs up to date or to retrain you in something else if your job is defunct. Be sure to let them know your job is going overseas. There is help once you get laid off. Just make sure you have all your ducks in a row now, before it happens. The company will probably be laying off most American workers when all is said and done. There is nothing we can do to keep them here. The President, news media, Medicare and Tri-Care have been notified and none of them care. There is no up and coming industry to replace jobs. The only thing we can do is use another insurance company and the more we are add ons to say a Blue Cross Blue Shield, then a job will be added to that company. UHC wants to go international and they are setting themselves up to service world wide. Unfortunately, they are shooting themselves in the foot with the USA. Take care of yourself first and the company second at this point. You need food on your table and have to make sure that happens. They are looking at global and bottom dollar not the food on your table. Keep that in mind. I wish everyone the best and think ME first. There is no corporation anymore that cares about their employees first. Bottom dollar is first. There are hug hospital Care Groups such as HSA and Baycare in Florida that are hiring. Make sure you look into the Health Groups in your state, get your resume up to date, and start applying. Let's keep Americans going by being pro-active for each other. I have realized there is no President either that is going to help. The buck starts with all of us!

I'm the original poster. I've read that you should be careful about posting reviews on glass door because you aren't guaranteed anonymity. So, if you are still employed, and plan on being employed for the longterm, I'd take that into do consideration.
I heard layoffs again in March as well

@1mfh+13pGIz8Q Exactly. There will be another lay off. They are not done. HR Trolls are paid to write positive employee reviews on Glassdoor as well. You have to sift through their BS reviews to get to the REAL Employees reviews. It is such a farse as well as extremely frustrating.

Hearing the same thing. Optum will be taking a hit. Feeling really bad for those folks. Have a back up plan.
