UPS GBS is laying off 143 employee’s that were notified February 2020 as they send American jobs to Poland. This has been coming since the day I was hired. Jim Casey is turning in his grave as the money that made UPS capable of going global, buying Freight, Mail Innovations & SCA came from America. Maybe now Dave Abney can get another new hot air balloon.

I was one of those people in Salt Lake City! It was the worst day of my life! I will never understand how this happened. How our jobs were happily given away to cheaper locations offshore. How people who had lived, eaten and breathed UPS were let go without any type of assessing the type of employee or service they provided there company over the years. They told us we were losing our jobs. They said if we stayed for severance that we couldn't apply for another year and the severance just wasn't worth it. I left before my end date. Just to find out that they kept the department after all at a higher pay grade. But still closing shop. They have let go so many people then boosted Suzanne's award for outsourcing Hall of Fame, all over the internal website. Not only losing jobs but rubbing your nose in it too. I loved my job more than life. I'm sad they didn't call to tell me they were actually staying. I have a letter here saying my job was ending August 21st. I needed job security so I left before that just to find that out. I gave them my passion and they did nothing but bite me and spit in my face on top of that. I will never understand it. I'll forever miss it. But they sure did a lot of people dirty. Just to start hiring again. Seriously. There's no site. How long will they really get to stay? Most great people were let go. In waves. Very sad times. Why? It's all numbers. Not lives. Not people. The bottom line. You're employee ID and what your job title was. Numbers. It was not like that before. They used to actually care about people and inner growth. Not sure when they went left but someone sees numbers. That's all that matters.
UPS Supply Chain Sol accounting in El Paso TX, two will be loosing their job in April which has always been the time of year they do their layoffs. Many, many accounting jobs are being outsourced. One beingnd–g capital of the world, Bogota Columbia. These ladies have over 20 yes and are considered two of our corporate employees who do a tremendous job. This location was once a corporate accounting facility that was ruined when UPS came in and bought out the previous locally owned feight companies and seems to get worse every year. No one is really happy and employee s have seen themselves working only 20 or 25 hrs a week since Aug 2019. We worked 40 hrs the week of 2/3/20 and went down to 35. First blame was no freight yet operations and temp warehouse people were working 40 + of while office workers too the brunt of it. Now, blame is coronavirus with the same scenario. Yet at the same time facility mgr says nbrs just are not there. Well yeah because office people are not here to finish the work, help customers, do the audits, etc. Makes no sense if operations and warehouse is working their fill hrs + more. No equalness whatsoever, no fairness, people have left or retired and no hiring, just over work office employee and complain when everything does not get done or companies drop us or complain. Poorly run facility. And, UPS is known to not keep employees abreast of situations and when you find out, get denied, not true, ignored, not talked about. TYPICAL.
Are they offering any kind of severance package–or just "Sorry, your job is gone"?
So true
