Furniture Jimmy had to do something after that disaster 4th qtr report. He picked a fall guy but my gut feel is that he only bought himself 6-9 months. One of these days Bill is going to look up from his comic book and say "hey...... it smells like burned toast around here... I wonder if there's a fire". Thats the day Jimmy decides to "retire".
Bill Ford chose poorly. Everything he ousted Fields over is worse under Hackett. Stock price? Lower. Revenue? Lower. Quality? Lower. Market share? Lower. Profit? Way lower.
Further, Hackett gets rid of the smartest folks for calling him out on his inanity. But keeps yes men like Farley. Farley's brown nosing was on full display in the "Cuddle" yesterday.
And Hackett's semantics are ridiculous. "We didn't get out of the car business. We got out of the silhouettes that don't make money business." Huh???
I am with the auto extremist. Buckle up for a bumpy ride to failure either the Jim and Jim show over the next five years.
