UnitedHealthcare Hearing relased 4 long-term employees on 2/6/20 (10% of their field audiologists).
UHC Hearing was called hiHealthInnovations before UHG purchased a hearing aid managed care company and merged them into operations.
Now the entire remaining team of 36 audiologists across the country see the handwriting on the wall coming by March 20.
E&I Virtual Operations laid off employees on 02/06/20.
Customer Office, Data Operations (Eligibility/Case Install/Data Integration): the Continuous Improvement and Issue Resolution team only (so far). 6 people, incl. Director, let go on 2/6.
We were told approximately 2,500 employees across Unitedhealthcare. Impacted Provider Relations, not sure of the other areas.
I was totally blindsided. My boss moved my review from wed to fri. I assumed I wasn’t getting let go. Surprised when I got the email. What’s worse is no bonus after 20 years and always rated a 5 unless promoted. I’m applying for positions but hopefully get something outside this Indian sh–hole
The worst was the waiting. We all knew it was coming and heard that it had started in some areas at 9AM EST. We had to wait, and wait, and wait what seemed like days till they just took everyone they wanted at 11AM EST. You basically just waited like a sitting duck until something happened.
