Somebody had to, Hackett said he’s not going anywhere (we all wish he would go anywhere else).

I am so sadden by the so called retirement of Joe. He was the one guy that I thought could help this company. He was/is a people person and down to earth. I never have seen Hacket go into an assembly plant and talk to the hourly people or the salary on the floor. Joe is the type of person who cared for the people and wanted to help better the company.
I am very disappointed in the board and the Ford family to let this person go. There were a lot of issues with that awful launch of the Explorer that Joe should NOT take the blame for. Why not just cut his bonus for the year or something like that. He is too great to loose for the company.
Why not get rid of Hacket for the smart redesign! That was a total F—Up! People still don't know what they are suppose to do and departments are arguing about who is suppose to to do what. That was and still is a major issue.
Joe you will be missed!
I hope Bill Ford reads this board. How stupid can he be to let Joe retire. He should be the next CEO and boot Hacket out. Hacket isn't helping this company at all. He is actually bringing this company down.

Bill Ford is your social responsibility more important than your family’s company, and all the people that derive their living working for you. Get real, this is a market driven economy, you don’t dictate what the public wants you react to what they want and need. Dump Hacket and get Somebody on the level of Mulally. Can’t believe you let someone with the experience of Joe to leave. Shocking, company s—s big time. Executives, directors, managers quitting...... what do they know that we the workers don’t know.
