There is no voluntary sign-up. I want out. I'm hoping it will be me as I have started applying out and have had some initial interviews. Our group has gotten so stressful - they keep laying off. My co-workers in India are even burning out. My business POs S— - they can't do agile - and the company doesn't take care of these toxic employees from the business. They cause the projects to miss dates and $$ budgets. It's just a bad place to be and I don't see it getting better with elections coming up.

quitting that corporation was incredible. No more cult like behavior, no more empty promises, no more bs artists yammering on townhalls or other propaganda. freedom!
Layoffs at UHG/UHC/Optum are not a new thing. They have been going on for MANY YEARS!
It actually started way before 10/02 - I was laid off along with 80+ from my department in UHG in July/Aug and there were at least 1-2 wave before us - the layoffs on the UHG side started around May/June of 2019
Another f—ing HR or management troll. Get off this site.
I mean you could just quit. No need to stand on your pedestal.
You can't sign up formally, but last round one lady asked her manager to put her in the next one so she could get severance. She got it and is a SAHM mom now.
@OP+13nLxm5A - I hope you get your wish. So many people are burning out and they just keep pushing and pushing. I'm on the fence on whether it would be better to be let go and to be free of this mess or be stuck in a soulless job and have to deal with the all the bs until I can find something else.
It will only get worse. From my tenure at United this is the most layoffs UHG has had in a short amount of time. Started on Wednesday, 10/02/19. Go to the posts/threads for UnitedHealth Group on this website and you will be shocked.
