Has anyone heard of any layoffs that are to happen this week at Cigna? A previous post said to beware and prepare that this week there was going to be a major layoff

After it's been 2 years since Cigna purchased ESI, they no longer have to pay out severance.

The Cigna Severance Pay Plan caps severance payments to no more than two times the lesser of: (1) your annual base salary for the year before the year of your Separation from Service; or (2) the annual compensation limit under Internal Revenue Code section 401(a)(17) for the year of your Separation from Services (the original post is misleading regarding severance payout time) what about the Philadelphia office? Cigna Group Insurance (Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Family Medical Leave) had layoffs on 2/20/2020. Massive job eliminations and consolidations across the network in Glendale, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, & Plano. Duplicate titles, tenured employees with over 20 years of service, employees over age 50, & employees of a particular race were effected. Severance was 4 weeks of pay per 1 year of service.
Most people in Pharmacy will be trained for Express scripts(well that's what we've been told) 95% will be trained instead of being offered severance
Which area did you work in? The information sounds incorrect. Severance offered is between 2-4 weeks per year. Not only days. Also, insurance gives you 30 days, then you have cobra options.
How tacky to do a group lay-off and not talk to each person individually - shows how they really care for their employees. If hired before the Express Scripts purchase they double the severance payout period. They don’t realize the deep resentment and lost trust they have created or they do and just don’t care.
Severance at Cigna is typically 2 weeks for ever year of employment, so for the person who has worked at Cigna for 7 years, you should be getting 14 weeks of severance and not 3 days.
3 week severance or 3 month severance? May I ask what area you all were from. Service operations? Pharmacy? Call Center? I have heard that there will be additional layoffs but no word on the departments/areas.62
I was laid off today :( I did not see it coming. There were at least 10 others laid off on the same call. They delivered the message to us in a group. I was told my health insurance would end on Sunday, and that I would receive a 3 day severance. I've worked there for 7 years.
