Just curious if anyone else has spoken with their supervisors/managers/Sme's about this site and how they reacted. I made my supervisor aware and he asked for the URL. I told him to google it.Then asked who posts on it - told him it was anon. He dismissed it all as BS. Anyone else have an exchange with their peers or higher ups?

Chronic illnesses such as diabetes, heart diseases, or other health issues like cancer etc. are expensive. The sickest 5% of the population consume 50% of the total healthcare costs. I have seen layoffs at UHG for several years now. The trend that I see is that mostly the sick employees 'or' with family members with these health issues are being laid off. I wouldn't be surprised they have some program/analytics that target these employees that meet a certain criteria. This will help them keep their employee healthcare costs down.
Random comment I know but very telling.. I heard One manager had an employee on disability due to health reasons..she died. They didn’t find out until 1.5 months AFTER her death. The boss didn’t know her employee died.. It’s a sad day when staff can be deceased for 1.5 months and no one knows. They need to do better as a company to check in with their own
Spineless managers- not buying it.
ya op my manager told me you post on here
Yep, 2/6 is for sure. UHN.
@1msp+13mi6hlf Then you must be one of the protected ones... because I would not TRUST ANYONE AT UHC/OPTUM as far as I could throw them... it’s literally every person for him/herself. There IS NO LOYALTY.
My manager told me that her boss and her boss' boss are on this site daily.
I trust her.
@1hgo+13mi6hlf Think about it. People aren't stupid. Anyone who values their job and paycheck isn't going to list names and departments until everything has been announced. No one is going to risk immediate termination and the possibility of no severance for doing something like that.
Did someone say names? Yes, my “manager” knew full well about this site and about the layoffs going on previously in the year but kept it very hush 🤫 hush. She acknowledged the site when I mentioned it in our 1:1 in Dec. just before Peter’s all staff meeting- told me “give Peter a chance to get his message out “ or some b—s—..” she is a forever corporate troll. GG!!!
Let’s all start with Witchman! S-h-t ALWAYS starts at the top (usually these people have never been able to obtain ANY leadership skills) and rolls down to the rest of us. Karma will come to ALL these losers who are enjoying reading all the anxiety and terror they have created. UHC/UHG OPTUM are a regime!!!
Minnesota management = inbreds
I never have discussed it but it is one of the top hits using Google. Most concerned about layoffs will find it. I could give two sheets if my leadership knows about the site. It is all exec mgmt decisions. So if they are looking be sure to call them out by name lol.
Agree Senior Leadership in Minnesota. They should be ashamed of how they treat their employees in the US. Makes me sick to my stomach.
My manager is the one who told me about this website during a 1 on 1 back in October. They are just as concerned as we are and I gotta be honest, pretty sure they are stressing out because they actually care about us. It's hard to read this site and see all the hate for direct line leaders when the real outrage should be against the most sr. leadership. It's like getting angry after finding out a coworker makes 44 cents more than you when the top "leaders" make your yearly salary per DAY. Put the blame where it belongs. :(
My team knows as well and we're all scared including my manager.
I can also agree with the comment below. My entire team knows about this website and the comments. We are scared as f— as the prior lay-off dates are spot on.
My whole team knows about this site, including my manager.
OP Here - @nau+13mi6hlf - I brought it up because no one else was speaking about layoffs when we had entire teams shifting and being reorg'd. No one was asking why these things were happening - So I let my boss know people had access to speculate online since management wasn't being transparent. i don't know why you think it's weird, I have no problems voicing things to management. They might not like what I'm saying, but I speak.
I heard about this site from a senior manager friend that I work with over at Optum. I'm at UHC and I've heard about the multiple rounds of layoffs since the first round back in october and they've been spot on. They're not done with the layoffs yet. There will be another round at some point this spring.
I agree with what an earlier posted said. These decisions come from high up on the food chain and most managers and directors have no clue about the layoffs until the day it happens. Anyone that knows who is going to be let go and the areas that will be hit are not going to say anything because there are consequences including immediate termination.
I shared it with my team and one of them shared it up and was told that they were aware of the site but could not confirm or deny any information on it.
The real question is why would you do that? Weird.
Yes, they said not to worry about it.
I can tell you that not always is the manager in the loop of what is going on. I was laid off on December 4th. My manager, as well as the director (who was also laid off), we’re not in the loop of the RIFs for our department. All the decisions of who would be on the lay off list came from senior administration. So all this could be BS...but I doubt it. All other dates on this site have been spot on. Multiple different people have been told the 2/6 date. That can’t be a coincidence.
