It's not a rebadge. It's an interview and hiring process that anyone can partake in.

'rebadging' to TCS is same as being hired by another company. Since there is a specific Walgreens request and TCS may lack the skills required or are not prepared to handle the volume of positions for their new contract with Walgreens, a 'premium' is being included in the offer. This might give TCS time to train their own existing staff to bring them up to speed and phase out Ex-Wag staff.Unfortunately Walgreens was and is not very good about training current employees into the direction the company must go to remain strong and move forward at lightning speed. Shows a lack of vision and direction from higher level executives and management. TCS and other consulting firms gain momentum because executives want and demand a quick fix irrespective of the fallout.

Why are the employees who are transitioning to TCS receiving the same severance package (except for COBRA, placement, and unemployment eligibility) as the employees who are not transitioning to TCS? The transitioned employees are keeping their pay plus two week's vacation added to the pay, and they will have a job guaranteed for a year. Isn't severance for employees who lose their job, not employees who keep their jobs, but with a different person signing the paycheck.

Its amazing how quick the Euros torched this company to the ground...then they put Ashworth, who sat around and watched them do it, in charge of the place hahah

Architects untouched. Engineers either entirely gone or given 6 months and the opportunity to interview for their jobs?

So are all the TCS onsite people also being let go? Because there are definitely not 1000 Walgreens people at Deerfield.

Not just run ops as was clearly articulated in a meeting less than a month ago. Transparency is a thing of the past. How can someone stand up and share 1/2 truths? Does anyone remember that recently, Pessina signed a document saying that Walgreens cares more about their employees than their shareholders or something to that effect? Laying off 90% of I.T. employees in favor of replacing with Consulting doesn’t send the same message. All the Walgreen Job listings don’t make sense if they are going to eliminate the bulk of I.T. and replace with consulting anyway.

90% of salaried IT jobs eliminated by August 31st. All areas that rely on IT or 'support staff' of any kind which is more than 50%.
Not laying off the person, Job function is eliminated. All for TCS outsourcing to India.
More than 1000 jobs in Deerfield affect this week. And more coming.
Absolutely horrible. Worse than 2010.

I was told I'm being retained, almost everyone else is getting the 6 months. I feel like the ship is sinking and everyone else is getting a life preserver but me. Don't even get the option for severance, going down with the ship.

Horrible day. Some walked out some offered a package if they stay until end of August. Not done yet. Good luck to everyone but it is not only runops.

All levels and all departments. Possibly some rebadging to TCS, but nothing announced yet. Another sad day in the wonderfully strong US economy.
