Was Just told our store managers last day is Friday we are now going to have a multi store manager, several stores in our district have been told this with more to come. Wow

Yeah my store was made a multi store and we do 30m a year, granted not a huge store but average. At this rate the company won’t be around in three years we should all read the writing on the wall. You may get a call on a Tuesday telling you Friday is your last day soon.
Not true some multi store manager stores are on the new Growth door list
The multi store manager concept isn’t anything new. They’ve been around for at least five years. Macy’s like to have their store managers responsible for a certain volume of business and sometimes they need to combine two smaller stores to get to that volume.
If you have a "multi-store manager" then pretty much you are on the "list" of stores that won't be around in 3 years. These are small stores in dead malls. So unless things improve, and improve quick, then you can read the writing on the wall.
My district used this concept for two years. It is horrible!!!!
