Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Glassdoor

So gentlemen, my relative works on wall street and I just spoke with him. He listened in on a meeting with a group of CEO’S and said CEO’S do care and monitor the glass door ratings. Please go on Glassdoor and rate your CEO of Union Pacific to let him know how he is doing.

Instead of complaining how Union Pacific s—s , why not just resign ? I worked for UP for 10 years I bought a flat bed wrecker truck and now own two more. I'm happier than ever I make a good living and now I work nights weekends and Holidays for myself when I feel like it.

So it’s a place to read reviews on employers? It’s not the unemployment office. 😆

God speed furloughed employee’s that are losing all their homes and cars and are angry enough to be upset on here. I know as a high up employee I’m still living large.

Maybe we can talk about the rest of the trash that works here in the executive ranks. It’s more than just Fritz look at all the ones with fake degrees and the right friends. Come here to not advance your career. Work 70 hours a week and be told your lucky to be here.

If I was a prospective employee, the 9% rating would be a great sign. To me it means UP has finally started to cut all the Union fat that has bloated the labor costs for way too long.

God you guys are slow. The reviews aren’t for the CEO’s to care or for them to get fired. It’s just to let prospective employees know the culture and if it’s a good place to work. 9% approval rate. I think any applicant has the picture. Anyone that starts a new job if there are any at UP in 2020 deserves everything they get.

As for caring, yes a powerful ceo of a respected company cares about what their employees think because they want their employees happy so productivity and innovation increases and they want to recruit the best.

However, Lance is neither a powerful CEO (he’s a puppet) or at a respected company (up is a joke).

Yes, I’m sure all the powerful CEOs are huddling comparing their ratings on Glassdoor. The reality is they don’t give a rip, their responsibility is to the board of directors of the company they run. Example - Lance implemented PSR at the direction of the board, or he would have been out and the next CEO would have done it. Keep leaving bad reviews if it helps you vent, but it will not factor into any decision the CEO makes.

We’ll spill the beans. Who was the executive?

I know it must mean something because the newest review is from one of our executives who's talking the company up. Why would an executive leave a review if they don't care? You can flag the reviews and select management and glassdoor will review it. If anything it's great entertainment and makes me feel better smearing them on the internet after they've c-apped all over the employees. Maybe it's childish, but I'm stuck here trying to get my railroad retirement that I worked so long for.

There are 4 or 5 class 1 ceos. They can’t compare to tech/bank/insurance company ceos. They could more than likely care less because they aren’t planning to look for a new job after They quit/fired/retire. And if they are it will come in the form of a buddy buddy appointment at a new place. They railroads are a place of hate between agreement and non. So for there ceos the lower the rating the more your peers like you.

Of course they do because if they apply to get a job as ceo of a different company that is one of the things the board of directors will look at first. If you don’t have the confidence of your employees or customers they won’t want you to take the helm. At this point everything the current ceo has done has only established and promoted the toxic environment that has started to flourish in the company now and pretty much destroyed moral and confidence in this company.
