How much are folks getting laid off on the ILEC side?

Ilec is profitable because they dumped millions of dollars in transport costs into the clecs budget.
Ever wonder how your customers were able to get above 758k data speeds? It's all that fiber backbone that Windstream put together from all of these non profitable clec aquisitons.
I see you guys idling your trucks all day, making six figures being a CST, milking every minute of every job... We all know the deal.
It's this groups fault. It's that groups fault... Fact... Ilec is profitable because bean counters know how to hide money.
We were profitable before paetec... Yup. Grandma didn't mind waiting 15 minutes for her knitting video to load on YouTube either.
They dont even have the staff to keep the CLEC side afloat for very long......there is nobody left working at windstream, everything is being outsourced. CLEC customers need to run.
Not very many. Like others have said. ILEC is profitable and has carried the water for CLEC ever since the PAETEC acquisition. CLEC financials have gotten so terrible ILEC can't support them financially anymore so there are going to be continued deep cuts to CLEC as the business is wound down.
ILEC has had several buy outs to unload network techs. One round of cutting LMs. Got rid of a bunch of engineers and construction managers. Hired a bunch of FST on the cheap. Got rid of or demoted a few Directors. So not exactly none. The CLECs are pretty much over with at this point. Picking winners I think is how they said it on the big call.
Good luck - hang in there
none......yet
