Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

New CIO

Please clean the IT house. They are k–ling our productivity which includes our ability to ship products. Solutions are thrown in, impactful to users and systems and / or flat out don't work. Please look at issues in the environment NOW as an example and please take action to remediate them and the people who promote a culture and quick n' dirty.

Not the OP but just look at MFA

Not the OP but my take:
*Intel software they put on internal computers prevent productivity and are extremly buggy(Slow to apply patches, stupid workpace software that is the ultimate nag, general lock ups and freezes you would never experience on the device if provisioned outside Coporate Intel).
**Intel automation systems are 3rd rate and require a lot of redundant typing and clicking(15 years behind any other Semi player...)
Longer note on first *:
Intel computers are garbage. When I have to call in for a meeting and laptop has been in sleep, can take the 15-20 minutes to become responsive (Sometimes hard reboot would be faster if you can take a hit to relaunching all programs and getting back to where you left off). So much McAfee trash running as well as Intel internally created monitoring software that is buggy and will spin up mid day and steal 50%+ of computer resources (usually during peak usage) bring the computer to a crawl(At least I can force quit these unlike McAfee). I already got my laptop upgraded to 32GB of Ram as well as had a secondary internal SSD installed. Next on the list to get a desktop(but will any of it matter with all the bloat). I sure wish Intel didn't force all employees to use a laptop, I would happily prefer to be on a desktop and glad my division has finally figured out how to move in that direction outside of TAP and ITDM.Most meetings I go to these days they try and force a no laptop policy anyways. I just want something responsive , ready, and reliable. For an Intel cost of $2500+ for the laptop I use not counting all the various docks thrown at me, I have been thoroughly unimpressed and blame internal provisioning and home grown unoptimized coporate bloat software that is securing IP... The hardware on any other build should scream.
