Current news is that the company may grow by acquiring other plans.

If there is a next round it will be at a lower level like admin people who are no longer working with leaders because those leaders were shown the door. If there is no place to move those ground level people, like to support other managers or teams they will be laid off because there is no job left for them to do. It's sad but it is very likely to happen.

These guys are just laying the ground work for something bigger. You’re living in a bubble if you think the layoffs will stop at Management. Be prepared, save as much as you can now and get your resume together!

There may not be thousands more, but there will likely be more. Weeding out and “freshening up” the workforce probably won’t stop with management, especially if they’re prepping for something big like a merger.

There will not be a few thousand people let go. The biggest layoffs are done. The company would not be able to take care of people who have their insurance with up to 4000 losses. That could cause businesses to rethink if they should have BCBS insurance. HCSC would not do something to risk losing current business or new business. Think, people. If lower salaried people are gone in the future it will be because of other things like bad job performance, not because of more planned RIFs.

What is the source for next round of eliminations.

1500-4000 employees will be eliminated next month. It doesn’t matter which salary grade you are in right now. Work on your resume.

I wouldn’t stick around to be found redundant after the likely merger or whatever they are planning
