severance package

Any agreement employee get any severance package? If so, how is it that some folks are getting severance packages or 60 paid days with 4 months of healthcare and others are getting nothing but the finger?

WARN Act states that an employer has to give 60 day notice before laying off 50 or more people. If the company lays them off without a 60 day notice, then they have to provide pay and benefits for the 60 days. There’s some other stuff that goes along with it, Google it for full details.

I can’t get them to pay legitimate time claims. I can’t believe they would give anyone any thing at all. I hope if people get a severance timekeeping doesn’t come back and steal it because that’s what those sickos do. Good luck everyone.

The severance package is a result of the W.A.R.N. Act, if you research it as I spelled it out it will give you the details, basically if the employer lay-off is equal to or greater than 50 people (regardless of amount of employees) than the severance package is required by law.. look for less than 50 per lay-off from here on based on the lack of morals and integrity of this company..

I think that If you are furloughed you have health care for 3 months starting at the 1st of the next month after you were furloughed. Only severance I have heard of is vacation pay for 2021, if you resign by a certain date in Feb.
