Thread regarding HollyFrontier Corp. layoffs

Changes are turning out to be a huge mess

Don't get me wrong, I’m all for positive changes and that a company operates according to the demands of the business environment, but when changes are done so violently and without a true purpose or a goal they tend to bring more harm then use.
I’m a long timer in IT, so I remember different times, times of stability and when things were done in logical manner. What did we get with these chaotic shifts? The best employees are already gone, and the ones that are left spend their days in fear of layoffs or that their group is going to be outsourced. Just a matter of time before this behavior backfires on the company.

More changes....axes are flying and there are no logical thoughts being done....in all places within the company, many of the high performers and people who know the business are being subject to the incompetence of the executives. The specialties business is being gutted by a leader with no vision of the future, only the vision of filling his own pocket. The fuels side is seeing changes done by feelings, not fact

Logical manner? I never saw anything done in logical manner? They kept some of the most incompetent people there because the managers were afraid of them, then fired the ones who actually performed.

That company is holding on by a thread.
