UHC layoffs coming 2/6/20

Layoff notifications are scheduled for 2/6/20. Not sure how many positions or exactly what departments, but I know my department will be affected.

I heard from several people that E&I will be affected with the next round. Their numbers are continuing to go downhill and their financial report this month was bad. E&I laid off 10% back in October so another cut it going to hit that group hard.

I heard Optum would be affected this time too. They had some layoffs last week and last month but I don't know what groups were affected or how many people.

I was laid off in October after 15 years of service. Layoffs (RIF) are coming on 02-06-20. I have confirmed this for many employees still there. Right before RRP. If you’re laid off you’ll get two additional weeks of pay, 40 hours of PTO, plus a lump sum severance based on your years of service and grade level. Apply for unemployment immediately if you’re laid off. Good luck to all of you!

C&S CRT was hit several times now. Nobody knows from day to day what is coming. Told not to go to the Townhall yesterday because of inventory but today in team meetings there was nothing important so we can waste that time? Sounds like they want to automate more and get rid of any rework. S—s being clueless every day. Not like any of them give answers anyway

They likely mean its 10% of Bill Goldens team. They have been figuring out who for the last few months. Hell in their latest HUB presentation/ One Pager "Reduce Operating Costs" is right there lol. What do you think you are. anything more than a line item?

is the 2/6 date, when the affected employees are notified, and if so, they have no idea yet?

I've never in 28 years have seen any layoff across one line of business. Layoffs occur according to department /report up, not line of business. Unless : @1apv+13eAsjPV is stating that it's 10% of E&I within UHN (based on the OP) I doubt the "across the board" is true.

Whats the difference is management reads this. The posts are anonymous. If you people know what specific areas will be affected, it would be nice if you could tell us.

It's been talked about since December E&I was going to be hit. Imo this would just be the start for that group.

2/6 is correct with 2 weeks notice. However the last day of work is 2/20 so no RRP payout.

I heard from a 30+ it’s 10% across the board in E&I.

i've already heard this months ago. layoffs coming right around MAP review time. they should pay you your bonus, cash out some of your PTO and then severance. may the odds be ever in your favor!

I'm the original poster. All I know for sure is areas of UHN will be affected. I don't know the numbers or details. I will update if I learn any additional information.

As I don't know what senior management might be reading this, all I'll say some areas of UHN will be affected. This is from a reliable source/management.

Not trying to scare anyone, just wanting to give a heads up as to what I know.

What department and how do you know. Is it a rumor or is it from a reliable source?
