Boss called this morning. I don't envy his position. Got sacked after 6 years with the company and nothing, but positive reviews year after year. Nice severance package and an opportunity to find another job within the company. This is just how it works.

I think I know who you are. Wait - You were a sh–ty professional!
Stay away from Nutanix. HUGE internal issues. Its all rainbows and unicorns until you scratch under the surface. For example - teams are siloed, BUT, the managers from these siloed teams get to make final hiring decisions for teams they have nothing to do with! Just stay away.

Yeah, lets use a site known to have some of the most salty/whiny folks in IT and use that as a means to measure their happiness in the workplace. Makes perfect sense.

I'd rather stay unemployed, thanks.

I heard it was one paycheck for each year you worked. Plus they will leave you on payroll for the next 2 months to keep benefits, etc.
What was the severance package?
Sure, it all depends on the length of service with the company. I can't divulge details, but it's sufficient to help anyone properly skilled find another job in plenty of time without experiencing any hardship.
