Any layoffs?

@stoplying the number or offshore workers has sky rocketed over the last few years. Evidence enough for me. Just shameful.
Contract work is being removed because other people in the company can do the work. No need to pay expensive consulting firms. this does not mean people will do more work but it means they will stop doing things that don't add to the business any longer. They might work on different things. The formula someone posted for the layoffs is not true across the board. Some people were laid off who are in mid careers or are young. They are not near retirement. I know people who left today who are pretty young. there is no evidence of more offshoring for IT or any other area because it does not make sense for how the plans help members. the jobs will be here. The added roles coming will be in areas where they need extra help to support members & work better with providers who take the BC plans.
Seeing good people let go that have been here for years busting their butt on bad leadership decisions. More to come all week. No news about all the contract labor gone too. Everything going offshore and it is becoming a horrible place to work. Get ready for a merger and clean the books. FTE's will be next in the months ahead.
More of the same. Lots of change in government programs. Directors VPs and re org again
Any news/updates this morning?
^^Four of the best people in the company.
Previously they seemed to have certain criteria for the RIF in 2016 being 55 and 15 years of service, then the VP’s, wonder what this one is? Seems to be more than just directors.
SDO, Procurement, Treasury, Acturial. Its all over.
there were people last week in HR, a few in pharmacy and at least one in SDO today.
Departments?
I already know of 4 director level individuals that were laid off today. I know that more are happening tomorrow.
